EPMS Multi Plan / Company Licensing
When purchasing the EPMS Enterprise 32 System, you will have three primary options available as to how it can be implemented into your business. Each of these options provides a business with a specific level of system usage.
In the sections below we will outline the three primary options and the level of access they provide, as well as the required licensing for each scenario.
Option 1 (Single Use):
This option is suited for an individual company that not only runs its organization as a single entity physically, and financially.
In this scenario the software will be installed on this organization server / network, with one instance of the Enterprise 32 data base attached to one instance of SQL.
Licensing Requirements:
- Multi Plant = (Does not apply in this scenario)
- Multi Company = (Does not apply in this scenario)
- User Licenses = 1 for each user set up in the Enterprise 32 User Manager
Option 2 (Multi Plant):
This option is best suited for a company that runs their organization with multiple entities, such as Division, Plants, etc, but financially they operate as single entity.
In this scenario the software will be installed on this organization’s server / network, with one instance of the Enterprise 32 data base attached to one instance of SQL. However, when configuring the Enterprise 32 system / data base, it will be separated by designated number of plants licensed.
This separation will allow system users in each of the plants to conduct their work, while only seeing database detail, such as customers, vendors, materials, and cost centers, related to each designated plant. In this scenario you can also specify certain users with specific access rights that allow them to work in all plants.
This option provides a company with better informational and management control for each of the different entities, while still maintaining a single financial entity with the ability to cross share of information, jobs, and resources.
Licensing Requirements:
- Multi Plant = 1 for each additional plant over the primary plant
- Multi Company = (Does not apply in this scenario)
- User Licenses = 1 for each user set up in the Enterprise 32 User Manager
Option 3 (Multi Company):
This option is best suited for a company that operates two or more organizations separately from each other not only operationally, but financially. However, these companies do share the same servers and network, therefore are combined from an IT stand point.
In this scenario, the software will be installed one server and one networks with two or more separate instances of the Enterprise 32 data bases (Named Differently) attached to the one instance of SQL.
This separation will allow system users to launch a single instance of the Enterprise 32 application, and specifically select what company they want to log into from that single Enterprise 32 application login screen. Because each database is physically separate from each other, they will operate independently of each other not only with regards to their customers, vendors, materials, and cost centers, but also financially.
The advantage to this scenario is in that it allows a company with more than one entity with a single server and network to own one licensed copy of the Enterprise 32 application.
Licensing Requirements:
- Multi Plant = (Does not apply in this scenario)
- Multi Company = 1 for each additional company over the primary plant
- User Licenses = 1 for each user set up in the Enterprise 32 User Manager for each database
